“Work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching." -Satchel Paige
I have the privilege of helping a broad range of participants find balance and peace through challenges such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, and low self-esteem. With respectful collaboration and finding your unique sources of inspiration, you will explore realistic goals to meet and maintain. These goals can include improved relationships (with yourself, your partner, your family, with your community), vocational/educational pursuits, mental health/addictions recovery...all towards holistic wellness.
My background has included over 8 years of addictions and mental health counseling, wellness workshops, advocate for diversity and social justice, couples counseling workshops and trainings, community-building, and music healing. My theoretical base is client/strength centered with motivational interviewing, narrative, behavioral, dialectics, mindfulness, cognitive, and Gottman models. Nonviolent communication, music healing, nutrition, and physical fitness are also areas of interest and experience.
Feel free to ask and questions before making an appointment. I look forward to working with you towards your goals and fulfillment.
